The word list is every word Wordle accepts as a guess (about 14,900 — the game's official list, so no proper nouns or made-up words), and each word counts once — a rare word matters as much as a common one, since any valid word can be the answer. The score is a raw count of letter-matches, so it has no fixed maximum; the grade compares it to the best score any opener could reach.
